Customer Service Associate - Temporary

Base pay range: $15.50/hr – $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Share customer service best practices with all team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, and ensuring complete satisfaction.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑up and/or companion items to customers.
• Collect cash and distribute change, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, maintain records, and perform stock rotation using the first‑in, first‑out method.
• Inspect and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
• Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special‑store structures, completing resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items (raw vs. pre‑cooked) and proper product placement according to policies (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves).
• Use store systems and equipment effectively.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, and suggest photo‑related promotional products.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, and deliver orders to customers upon arrival.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training sessions and complete required Personal Performance Levels (PPLs) assigned by the Manager or corporate.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Previous work experience with Walgreens.
