10 is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a 12‑month contract‑to‑hire position with a financial services client. The role is located in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey and will be performed on a hybrid schedule. Hourly compensation is $65.00–$75.00 (W‑2).
- Serve as a key expert on AWS Cloud‑native development and operations.
- Own and manage production infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab or Jenkins to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell) for infrastructure management and service orchestration.
- Deploy and operate applications using AWS ECS, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
- Implement monitoring and observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Trail.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Developers, QA, PMs) to enable smooth, automated release management.
- Drive developer efficiency by building tools and self‑service platforms that reduce manual work.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and database layers.
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices across teams.
- 5+ years of relevant Dev Ops/Build & Release Engineering experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, Route
53, WAF). - Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or Shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Git Lab, Jenkins, Maven) and Git branching strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK).
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, RDS, Dynamo
DB) and web servers (Apache, NGINX). - Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, load balancing, CDNs).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Apigee API Management.
- Prior experience in the payments or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of performance testing and static code analysis integrations in CI/CD pipelines.
