Azure Cloud Architect

Prominent is looking for an Azure Cloud Enterprise Architect for a contract-to-hire position in Omaha, Nebraska;
Berkeley Heights, New Jersey;
Frisco, Texas; or Greenwood Village, Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing information systems that adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization, analyzing system requirements, ensuring system security, and effectively integrating with current applications. This role will maintain optimal system performance and support the application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements. Thorough knowledge of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications is required.

Potential candidates will need to have the ability to work W2 on Prominent’s payroll during the contract period.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as an Azure Cloud Architect.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Strong familiarity with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of network and security concepts in Azure.
• Excellent familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and NIST controls.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead technical discussions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Azure certifications such as AZ‑300, AZ‑301, or AZ‑303 are a plus.
• Master's degree in technology is a plus.
• Microsoft security certifications are a plus.
• Architecture level experience with other major public cloud providers is beneficial.
• Familiarity with FISMA HIGH and FedRAMP HIGH security standards.
