Dogtopia of Berkeley Heights

10-15 hours per week. Specific shifts available are Friday 3-7PM and Saturday 8AM-12:30PM, 1:45-5PM. Opportunity for more hours on a need basis depending on volume.

• A positive, friendly and energetic personality who can multitask and loves a fast‑paced environment.
• Enthusiastically greet and attend everyone and every dog that comes in and out of daycare, boarding or spa.
• Answer pet‑parent questions over the phone and in person, conduct tours and explain the benefits of dog daycare.
• Check pups in and out of daycare, boarding and spa; sell treats and special events at drop‑off; schedule next day daycare or boarding reservations.
• Toggle across multiple platforms at once and attend to detail on pricing and billing.
• Stand while greeting the parents, take their dogs at the lobby or possibly curbside and escort them to and from their playrooms; dogs range from 5 lbs to 150 lbs.
• Schedule and confirm meet‑and‑greets with pet parents; follow up with pet parents and veterinarians for vaccination records prior to meet‑and‑greet appointments.
• Accurately charge customers and check dogs in and out of daycare, boarding and spa.
• Check voicemails, emails and texts; communicate any concerns and notes with pet parents in real time.
• Follow up with leads to schedule pups’ evaluations and convert them to members.
• Communicate with canine coaches about schedules of in and out of playrooms and spa.
• Log all notes from canine coaches about pup behavior or activities and log owner notes after every conversation.
• Stay organized and calm in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Clean the front work area: mop, sweep, disinfect surfaces, keep counters tidy.

• You are 18 with a strong work ethic, reliable and punctual, and have reliable transportation.
• You’re fast‑paced and love to stay busy.
• You are able to stand and physically interact with dogs of all sizes.
• You thrive when you have multiple tasks at once.
• You enjoy meeting and interacting with new people and can build relationships quickly.
• You like to work with others and be part of a team.
• You’re lively, enthusiastic, friendly and a very strong communicator.
• You can work flexible days and hours, including holidays and Saturdays.

$15.50/hr to start. Increase available after training and proven work ethic. Ample room to advance with the company.
