As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking reliable candidates for a Fire Extinguisher Technician at our office in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing fire extinguishers, as well as filling up empty tanks.
Job Description:Fire Extinguisher Technician
Full-Time Position: 35-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Performing maintenance, inspections and repairs on portable fire extinguishers and related equipment. Federal Fire Protection has provided quality service throughout New Jersey for over 30 years. We are a well established and growing company. We want team players who are customer service oriented, friendly, and will represent Federal Fire in a professional and positive manner.
Qualifications- 2-3 years in Fire Protection industry
- Attention to detail & follow-through
- Must work in a professional and safe manner appropriate to the fire life safety industry
- Ability to work independently, be mechanically inclined, and self-motivated
- Excellent Communication Skills in English – Written and Verbal
- Valid Drivers License with a safe driving record
- Ability to keep company supplied service vehicle clean, organized, and with complete inventory
- Ability to adhere to and follow instructions, procedures, safety guidelines, rules and regulations at all times.
- Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Perform inspections, maintenance and installation on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting for established customers on a scheduled basis.
- Complete all inspection and service digital paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Must be able to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
- Maintain truck stock quantities of equipment and keep it in a neat and orderly manner and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Must report deficiencies for office to review.
