Position: Temporary, Part-Time Instructor (Sociology)

The Peralta Community College District invites applications for our Temporary, Part-Time Faculty pool in the following disciplines:
Sociology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Temporary, Part-Time Faculty duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Sociology.

Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Sociology; AND a Master’s Degree in Anthropology, any Ethnic Studies, Social Work, or Psychology;

May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Sociology.

The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence, as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form.)

Qualifications:

Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
