Temporary, Part-Time Instructor (Biotechnology)
The Peralta Community College District invites applications for our Temporary, Part-Time Faculty pool in Biotechnology.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Biotechnology courses
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or engineering, and two (2) years of experience in Biotechnology.
- OR a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Biotechnology.
- OR the equivalent qualifications.
- Cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff, faculty, and students.

- Tuberculosis Examination:
Prior to employment, the successful candidate will be required to submit evidence of being free of tuberculosis within the past sixty (60) days. - Fingerprinting Requirement:
As a condition of employment, all employees working for community colleges in the State of California are required to be fingerprinted within the first ten (10) working days of the date of employment.
Equivalency Procedure:
Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job announcement but believe they possess the equivalent, must submit an Equivalency Application Form including full supporting documentation.
