We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to support the development of a Gen 2 metal module frame designed to hold 9x cells. This role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of sheet metal components and assemblies, incorporating manufacturing feedback, and ensuring compliance with product requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design skills, proficiency in CAD software, and experience in mechanical design and fabrication.

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with the Module Design Engineer and manufacturing engineering team to incorporate design recommendations.
• Ensure all designs meet strength and deflection requirements through FEA analysis and vibration testing.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering feedback and testing results.
• Maintain organized documentation of all CAD files for procurement and future reference.
• Present and explain design concepts to stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest CAD tools and design technologies.
• Support leak and condensate management features in the frame design.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

• Design a 2-sided truss frame with structural end plates, cross bracing, and lower cross members.
• Integrate a lower flexible closeout sheet for leak and condensate management.
• Final design must be documented and reviewed against all product and manufacturing requirements.

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with FEA analysis and interpreting results.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Good mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
