Elmwood is a wealth management practice based in Berkeley, California. We currently manage approximately $425 million of client assets for 175 household relationships. Our business model is to be a full-service provider of financial planning, investment management, estate and tax planning to our clients as it relates to their situation. We are a small team, all of whom have worked together for many years, and are looking for a new member to join us and support our growth.
The position we are looking to fill is for a Client Service Associate who can help support us in many different facets of our business. Since we are a small team, it’s paramount to find someone who will thrive in a role where they will be asked to help in numerous areas of our business. The ideal candidate will have both professional and industry experience, and be software savvy.
ClientService Associate
- Support lead advisors in preparation of client meetings. This may include client data gathering, preparation of reports used in meetings, and summarizing past client meetings and updates.
- Coordinate, track and take ownership of all action items from client meetings with team and CRM software.
- Oversee client custodial paperwork through outsourced third party provider, and in some cases draft and complete custodian paperwork.
- Send out contracts, agreement updates, and other operational paperwork that clients need to execute.
- Serve as internal lead tax coordinator for our third party tax preparation partner. This includes onboarding new tax preparation clients and updating files to their tax client portal.
- Assisting team executing on our client service calendar, which entails reaching out to clients for data updates allowing us to complete the various deliverables scheduled throughout the year.
- Monitor and update client portals, which includes reaching out to clients to request information we require for our planning process.
- Assist with company operations, compliance and special projects as they come up.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- College graduate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Has great attention to detail and works proactively.
- Able to work collaboratively, or independently on daily work.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Tamarac, Wealthbox, eMoney and Holistiplan.
