This position is 100% onsite in Berkeley, California.

Summary

The Service Technician I – Dedicated is responsible for providing basic technical support for telecommunications systems through the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of the systems, equipment, and peripherals.

Responsibilities
  • Installs various types of low‑voltage communications cable and wire, testing to ensure installation meets minimum transmission line standards and characteristics
  • Installs and tests telecommunications terminal equipment and peripherals
  • Responds to service requests as required
  • Performs Move, Add, and Change activities as required
  • Participates in new installation and major upgrade activities
  • Interprets and uses worksheets, service orders, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure proper installation of products
  • Prepares and maintains installation records and documentation
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from clients
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work long, irregular hours and be available on an on‑call basis
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); some college and telephony courses
  • Experience installing telecommunications equipment

Pay Rate
