Attorney​/Lawyer

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Berkeley, California. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in civil litigation and a strong ability to handle complex legal matters with professionalism and precision. This role requires a proactive individual who excels in legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.

Responsibilities:

- Assess and evaluate potential new cases by analyzing technical and legal aspects.

- Gain comprehensive knowledge of assigned cases, including all relevant facts and details.

- Review, summarize, and highlight key evidence from case documents.

- Conduct in-depth legal research to support case development and strategy.

- Manage all aspects of civil discovery, including drafting discovery requests, coordinating meet and confer sessions, and preparing for depositions.

- Draft legal briefs, memoranda, and other case-related documents.

- Prepare thoroughly for hearings, trials, and depositions to ensure successful outcomes.

- Collaborate with and coordinate the selection and preparation of expert witnesses.

- Identify, recruit, and work closely with experts to strengthen case arguments. Requirements - Demonstrated academic achievement and attention to detail; federal law clerk experience is highly desirable.

- Exceptional analytical abilities with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Superior skills in legal writing, drafting, and oral advocacy.

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing demands.

- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining patience and composure under pressure.

- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
