Operations & Outreach Administrator (6299U) – Center for Technology Competitiveness & Industrial Policy Study
Join the University of California, Berkeley to support the Technology Competitiveness and Industrial Policy Center (TCIP Center) with day‑to‑day operations, communications, and relationship building. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role requires strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities- 40% Support comprehensive promotion strategies: prepare correspondence, promotional material, and media content; develop communication strategies to inform key constituencies about center programs and findings.
- 40% Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships: build and sustain relationships with internal and external parties, including faculty, staff, research fellows, board members, and alumni; respond to inquiries and provide necessary information.
- 10% Plan and execute high‑profile events and activities: organize and oversee meetings, events, and activities; plan, implement, and staff events; recruit and assist volunteers to ensure successful execution aligned with organizational goals.
- 10% Perform administrative operations: manage calendars, arrange meetings, maintain office space and facilities; research topics and gather data to inform the center’s strategic plans; analyze issues to enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of building and maintaining effective relations with alumni, internal, and key constituencies.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with sound judgment.
- Project‑management skills, including event planning and meeting deadlines.
Estimated salary range: $95,000 – $115,000. Full‑time benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off according to UC Berkeley policy.
