Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license and strong critical care background for a flexible day shift assignment.

• Work in a hospital ICU setting providing critical care to a variety of patients
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend required and based on unit needs
• On-call coverage required as needed
• May float to other units or campuses within scope of practice depending on census and need
• Epic charting experience is preferred
• Flexibility with floating to different units or hospital campuses is expected
• Candidates will receive at least 1.5 hours notice prior to floating, and a shuttle is provided if floating to a different campus
• Only one holiday will be approved for time off during the contract
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Non-billable e-learning modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• Minimum of 3 years RN ICU experience required
• Must have traveled as a nurse for more than one year
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Return staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
