RACO Manufacturing & Engineering is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to help ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment and keep our operations running smoothly.

This is a part-time, on-site position with the opportunity to transition into full-time for those who demonstrate strong performance, a positive attitude, and alignment with The RACO Way

- Transport completed units from the final testing area to the designated shipping department with care and accuracy.
- Match each unit with the appropriate packing slip, meticulously verifying serial numbers and line items to ensure shipment accuracy.
- Retrieve and include the correct manuals and supplemental documentation relevant to each unit being shipped, when applicable.
- Securely pack units for safe transit, applying strong attention to detail to prevent damage during shipment.
- Apply correct shipping and tracking labels (e.g., UPS RED, BLUE, ORANGE) and record shipment details—such as destination, zone, weight, and insurance value—in the system with precision.
- Utilize shipping platforms like Ship Station to manage outgoing orders efficiently; coordinate with alternate carriers when needed.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams and external shipping contacts to provide updates and ensure timely dispatch.
- Pre-package stocked products ahead of time, as workflow allows, to support smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
- Receive incoming shipments from UPS, Fed Ex, and other carriers, confirming receipt and verifying shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately input receiving data into the inventory management system (e.g., Cin7) and store items in their proper storage locations.
- Deliver incoming goods to appropriate departments and clearly communicate receipt details across relevant internal channels.
- Open and log returned items or repairs, referencing RMA documentation or issuing memos where needed; route repairs to the appropriate department.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain a clean, organized receiving area while managing tasks independently and reliably.
- Provide clear, timely updates to internal stakeholders and external partners, using tools such as phone, Slack, and video conferencing when needed.
- Strong computer proficiency
- Familiar with Excel, Google Sheets/Docs/Meet
- Experience with systems such as Ship Station and Cin7 a plus
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and organized
- Related shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
