Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)

We are seeking an F-15 Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level M) to support our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively lead teams and multi-disciplined support staff to positively impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement, standard work, and best practices within the Production System
  Drive for Safety improvements, defect reduction, and foreign object debris (FOD) prevention to ensure Product Safety.
• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Support affordability by driving unit hour reductions and innovation implementation
  Manage employees and other managers performing activities within manufacturing disciplines.
• Deploy Lean principles in accordance with the Boeing Production System.
• Convey organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of organizational goals and monitor performance metrics.
• Proactively communicate with leadership team, peers (e.g., fellow senior managers) and customers.
• Team with Quality on inspection approach, quality initiatives, corrective and preventive actions, and DCMA engagement/strategy.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Create a culture of continuous improvement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• 5+ years of experience working as a leader or manager.
• 3+ years of experience driving improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people on production and development programs.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• 3+ years of experience leading cross‑functional and Lean+ projects.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross‑functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with schedule and budget management, stakeholder communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and requirements are met.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Direct functional experience within Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• Deep production program experience across driving improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and People on production and development programs.
• Direct applicable knowledge of Production Systems development and “Start Right” methodologies.
• Effective change leader;
  Ability to build an environment of inclusion, transparency and trust.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rally a team in challenging work environments.
