Duration: 6+ Months

Role: As an MP&P Engineer, you will perform responsibilities to define requirements, manage deployment of materials, parts and processes, ensure compliance, and lead development and qualification activities to meet requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Defines requirements for materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture of products.
  • Leads production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes.
  • Maintains compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Promotes standardization across business activities.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
  • Leads development and qualification of new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
  • Integrates new technologies as appropriate.
  • Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
  • Conducts complex analysis to determine reasons for failures of materials, parts or processes.
  • Implements corrective and preventive actions.
  • Leads design, development and qualification of sophisticated computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
Scope of work / Position Responsibilities
  • Apply non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches in developing new and novel methods to address affordability and supportability objectives.
  • Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and maintenance of products and approve their use.
  • Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
  • Lead development, validation and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
  • Manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
  • Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert.
  • Support the Team Lead, assist defining strategies and/or provide consultation.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited program, in engineering, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desirable)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy).
  • Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, penetrant inspection).
  • Experience working in multi-discipline teams, with strong collaboration with technical and non-technical customers.
  • Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics.
  • Experience with project management tools
Pay Range & Benefits

Pay Range: Between $70 Per Hour - $75 Per Hour

Note: Pay range offered will be based on factors including education, experience, location, duties, and certifications.
