This role is part of the Defense Air Dominance Division Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization and focuses on the US Navy Unmanned MQ‑25 Stingray program. The position is located in Mascoutah, IL, or Berkeley, MO, and is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities- Participate in research and analysis to identify potential or reported manufacturing issues (e.g., non‑conformances, quality escape, FOD, etc.) and associated safety concerns.
- Support the identification of safety and mission assurance issue root causes and recommend corrective actions using Boeing best practices.
- Define and validate safety, mission success, and airworthiness; incorporate findings into designs, operations, and procedures.
- Participate in tests, analyses, inspections, audits, and simulations to verify that systems meet defined safety and mission assurance requirements.
- Document safety analysis, hazard mitigation, validation, and verification activities in compliance with relevant customer and regulatory safety standards.
- Support the creation and maintenance of product safety and corrective action plans.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Level 3: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 4: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in aerospace systems, including MIL‑STD 882 safety hazard analysis, air‑vehicle subsystem hardware and software design, build, and test.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, or fleet operations.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Safety Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Software Safety Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), or equivalent, including MIL‑STD 882, JSSSEH, DO‑178/DO‑254.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft safety‑critical design (e.g., flight controls, electrical, navigation/guidance, avionics and communications).
- 10+ years of experience in aircraft production, maintenance, or fleet operations.
- Experience in Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies to solve complex technical and safety issues.

3): $107,100 - $144,900 - Senior (Level
4): $129,200 - $174,800
