Job Overview
The Boeing Company – Boeing Mission Systems Phantom Works organization seeks a Senior Level Core Processing Lead Engineer
. This position is located in Berkeley, MO and will work on a proprietary program focused on core processing solutions, computer science, advanced networking operations, precision time protocols, tagging, network traffic, encryption, storage, mission computer, and overall architecture.
- Provide technical oversight to hardware leads.
- Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analysis to predict component and system performance and optimize design.
- Research specific technology advances for potential application.
- Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
- Architect network and processing solutions.
- Define and conduct tests to validate performance against requirements.
- Analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications using CAMEO/MBSE, ensuring traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Assisting in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Supports project management by providing work statements, budgets, schedules, and status reports.
- Interfaces with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and organizational levels.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Level 5: 14+ years of work‑related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s, 12+ years with a Master’s, or 9+ years with a PhD.
- Electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, and verification.
- Experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
- 5+ years in development and qualification, physical and functional integration and design, and resolving supplier technical issues.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, and verification.
- 5+ years of experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management.

Salary Range (Level
5): $154,700 – $209,300. Additional variable compensation may apply.
