Position Responsibilities- Defines, coordinates and controls the functional and physical interfaces between propulsion system and vehicle.
- Configures or designs propulsion subsystems and components to meet vehicle design and performance specifications.
- Contributes to or leads testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation activities for system performance validation.
- Develops concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
- Supports development of specifications and architectural concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manages propulsion vendor coordination.
- Works independently under direction of Subject Matter Experts.
- Mentors early career engineers.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- At least 3 years of experience applying knowledge of internal and external flow characteristics for inlets, nozzles, and engine operation, with capability to perform propulsion system analysis tasks.
- Ability to obtain additional accesses/clearances post-hire.
- 9+ years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of interactions between propulsion, aerodynamics, and flight controls within a collaborative flight sciences engineering team.
- Foundational knowledge of gas turbine engine operation and thermodynamics.
- Experience with real‑world component and hardware integration.
- Experience with thermodynamic cycle modeling tools and methods.

Pay & BenefitsCompetitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Typical pay ranges:
Mid‑Level $112,200 – $151,800;
Senior $136,850 – $185,150. Applications accepted until Jan. 07, 2026.
Position must meet U.S. export control compliance. A “U.S. Person” (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.
Security ClearanceRequires active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Past 24‑month clearance is considered active.
