Design System Wiring Diagrams and wiring bundles for F/A-18 E/F/G models supporting production and retrofit programs. Role reports to the Electrical Platforms Systems Manager under Air Dominance. Requires a self‑motivated leader with strong people skills and the ability to build customer relationships. Work closely with the F/A-18 Retrofit team, U.S. Navy, and Sustainment Engineering/Support Systems teams.
Responsibilities- Mentoring junior wire design engineers
- Collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Developing wiring designs in Siemens Mentor Graphics
- Working with internal/external customers
- Supporting engineering integration, issue resolution, and team execution with minimal direction
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Potential for light international travel (India or South Korea)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 9+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with a Master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD
- 5+ years developing wiring harness designs using Siemens Mentor Graphics
- Familiarity with hardware‑software airplane‑level integration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge and application of electrical engineering and scientific principles related to wire harness and interconnect systems
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)
- 7+ years wiring harness design experience using Siemens Mentor Graphics
- 7+ years airplane‑level subsystems development, integration, and troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with USN Technical Orders
