About the Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Associate and Experienced Structural Design Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs located in Berkeley, MO
. BDS Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position

Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinate with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
  • Level 2: 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Level 3: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). An active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required post‑start.
  • Special Access Program (SAP) is required post‑start.
  • Experience with 3‑D solid modeling software Unigraphics.
Security Clearance

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). An active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active. Post‑start, a Top Secret/SCI clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) are required.

Export Control Requirements

Position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee) is required.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience and qualifications, market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Level 2: $85,000 - $115,000.
Summary pay range Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300.
