Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) invites a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO
.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study:
Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

• Supports development activities and leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements related to Mission Systems and Avionics.
• Provides interpretation of complex requirements and assists design engineers with technical reviews including configuration change proposals, preliminary / critical design reviews, First Article Inspections, and Qualification testing.
• Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities and Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs).
• Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
• Leads and participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
• Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
• Initiates and implements corrective actions based on nonconformance trend analysis.
• Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
• Works under minimal direction.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
• 3+ years of experience working in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supplier Management.
• 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
• 3+ years of experience working with and supporting a Quality Management System (QMS).
• 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications (CQA; CQE; CQT).
• Experience in an avionics, electrical, or systems engineering role.

• Position is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship; an Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• May require up to 15% domestic/international travel.
• Position is for 1st shift.

Export control compliance:
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Summary pay range: USD $100,300 - $135,700.
