The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking experienced Paint & Coatings Manufacturing Engineers located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Paint & Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities will include collaborating with a team to scope, develop, test, and integrate innovative paints/coatings research/development/specification projects aimed at advancing aerospace products and production methods.

Key Responsibilities
* Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies

* Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

* Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build

* Leads and implements manufacturing plans

* Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements

* Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices

* Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

* Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule

* Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts

* Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies

* Conduct analysis and qualification of materials, processes and equipment by conducting laboratory tests and documenting findings in accordance with specifications and customer requirements

* Develop and revise documents, technical requirements, and test methods

* Execute continuous improvement efforts by completing the design, fabrication, and testing of new concepts and technology

* F/A-18 Super Hornet: A multi-role fighter aircraft known for its versatility and advanced capabilities. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

* 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): * (Level
3) 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

* Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

* Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

* Experience with 3D model based instruction

* Experience in Materials and Processing Engineering

* Experience with polymer sciences, resin systems, and/or coating development Conflict of Interest:
