6+ months, possible extension Introduction We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team. This role involves defining requirements for materials, parts, and processes used in the manufacture of products. The ideal candidate will lead the production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts, and processes, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. This position promotes standardization across business activities and evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.

Skills & Qualifications
* Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
* 5 years of experience in engineering
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, physics, or chemistry Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
* 5 years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy)
* Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)
* Experience working in multi-discipline teams, with a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical customers
* Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics
* Experience with project management tools
* Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively across various geographical locations
* Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, in developing new methods/approaches to address affordability and supportability objectives
* Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture, and maintenance of products and approve their use
* Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes
* Manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
* Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.)
* Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert
