CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Engineers‑Simulation to support our Simulation Frameworks, Services and Tools deployments team located in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Software Fabric / Boeing Emulation, Simulation, Test and Analysis Framework (BESTAF) business organization.
PositionThe successful candidate will coordinate with commercial, defense, and other customers for requirements, participate in small developmental teams, and implement simulation software using Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities- Design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, virtual environments, platforms and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Partner with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics.
- Perform design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities.
- Collect and process data for use in simulations.
- Validate, verify, and refine simulation software code, models, test procedures, and test environments, executing test procedures and documenting results against real-world data.
- Document and maintain technical code, algorithms, specifications and descriptions of simulation models.
- Partner with cross‑functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment.
- Modernize, migrate, sustain, and update simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems.
- Perform simulation software project management functions.
- 4+ years of software programming experience with C, C++, C#, .NET.
- 2+ years of software programming experience with Python.
- Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 3+ years’ related work experience (Level
3) or 5+ years’ (Level
4). - Experience in Rust, embedded software and hardware interfacing, and avionics protocols.
- Active Security Clearance.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Agile Methodology, Git, Continuous Integration, Cloud Computing, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
10% travel.

Associate ($98,600–$133,400), Experienced ($123,250–$166,750), Senior ($153,000–$207,000).
