Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager – Paint Operations (level K) to support STL Paint Operations Team in Berkeley, MO!
Position Responsibilities- Manages employees performing activities in multiple paint manufacturing areas
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Oversight and Ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture
- Manage, inspire, develop and motivate employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security & Export Control RequirementsThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Final U.S. secret clearance Prestart is required OR An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required.
“U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- 3+ years’ experience Painting in one or more of the following specialties:
Aerospace or Automotive Paint Application, Paints & Coatings, Inorganic Chemical Processes, Environmental Health and Safety, or Sealants - Leadership experience in a formal or informal capacity
- Experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant field
- Lean Six Sigma experience
The candidate must be able to work any shift assigned. This position is for 1st shift.

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $111,350 – $150,650. Applications for this position will be accepted until Jan. 09, 2026.
