Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an F-15 Shipside Support Manager to join the F-15 Manufacturing Integration team in Berkeley, MO!

Position Responsibilities
  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Other Position Responsibilities may Include:
  • Manage activities across multiple functions to resolve emergent operational issues and support implementation of strategies and plans
  • Manage process assessments against standards, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Adapt effectively to changes in work tasks, structures, and culture while encouraging innovative problem-solving and facilitating change acceptance
  • Plan and organize work by involving stakeholders, anticipating critical events, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion
  • Apply knowledge of an array of manufacturing and assembly processes, shop safety and quality standards to support operations
  • Collaborate with various Operations and non-Operations departments to understand inter dependencies and drive effective outcomes
  • Develop solutions for moderately complex problems by applying established policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Represent the organization in interactions with internal teams and external customers on specific projects
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills are required to succeed in this position as well as presentation and facilitation skills to work with cross-functional groups in establishing and achieving common goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience with Boeing systems such as SAT, MESCI, & REDARS
  • 1+ years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Prior LSCC experience
  • Previous experience on F-15 program
  • Understanding of One BPS process and principles
