Youth and Children's Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Youth and Children’s worker to help us grow this established ministry area. This role will include exciting new opportunities to develop schools work, as well as build upon our existing midweek community-focused children’s groups, and Sunday junior church programme.

You will be someone with relevant training and experience:

• to bring a sense of innovation into this ministry area in light of the needs developing in our church and local community;
• to help envision, equip and grow our team of volunteers;
• to facilitate mentoring of our young people and children as an authentic role model of the Christian faith to those within and outside of the church;
• with strong organisation, IT and communication skills; and
• will actively participate in the life of the church with a passion to further the kingdom of God.

We are a mid-size multi-generational church situated in the beautiful Hertfordshire town of Tring. Being the first Baptist church in the UK to achieve a Gold Eco-Church award through the ARocha scheme we have a heart for holistic, whole-life discipleship and for church to be a place that is welcoming and accessible to all.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.
