COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience per Berkley Athletics Pay Schedule
QUALIFICATIONS- Previous coaching or playing experience in softball
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain)
- Plan and run daily practices that build skills, confidence, and teamwork
- Create a positive, inclusive team environment that supports student‑athlete development
- Teach foundational softball skills, game concepts, and strategies appropriate for the JV level
- Set clear expectations focused on effort, sportsmanship, and accountability
- Communicate effectively with student‑athletes, families, and the varsity coaching staff
- Lead the JV team in all contests and assist with game‑day preparation
- Supervise athletes before, during, and after practices and games
- Collaborate with the varsity head coach to ensure program alignment
- Ensure student‑athletes meet all team, school, and MHSAA requirements
