The base hourly rate for this position is $19.91
. Starting hourly rate is $19.33 per hour, increasing every six months.
As a Machine Operator/Attendant, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, performing quality control inspections, and problem‑solving to ensure the safe and smooth operation of people, equipment, and product. You must be able to work any shift, including rotating, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Shift Schedule- 28‑day working cycle switching from days to nights with total of 14 working days in a month
- 4 on / 3 off / 3 on / 1 off / 3 on / 3 off / 4 on / 7 off (pattern repeats)
- Always use safe work practices, follow all safety rules and procedures, immediately report any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment: protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask, or respirator.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
- Ability to work flexible rotating shifts (Dupont Schedule)
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and handle repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift, push or pull 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Visual acuity is required to and with machinery.
This job is in an industrial, manufacturing environment. Employees must work frequently around heavy machinery, industrial ovens, and mobile equipment. The environment is not climate controlled and may be extremely hot, humid or cold depending on operation and season. Working surfaces can be wet, dusty, and uneven. High noise levels, vibration, and fumes are present. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, head protection, and may be required to wear dust masks or respirators in certain areas.
