Duration: 150-181 Days
Location: Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York (CT, NH, NY) during program, then nationwide travel.
Status: Full‑Time, Exempt
Unpaid per DoD guidelines; military pay/benefits continue.
Compensation (Post‑DoD Skill Bridge Program): $70,000 - $95,000
OverviewAmeri Tech Contracting, a HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Awardee, offers transitioning service members direct training in federal construction. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will lead on‑site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors—building skills for a civilian career in construction leadership. Our mission is to deliver high‑quality federal contracting solutions with integrity, honoring veterans and serving communities.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily site activities and enforce safety protocols
- Review drawings, specs, and scopes of work
- Conduct inspections, manage punch lists, and maintain documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors and support project scheduling
- Enforce Accident Prevention Plan (APP)
- Conduct safety audits and promote a proactive safety culture
- 4+ years construction experience
- Strong knowledge of building methods and safety standards
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel and obtain security clearance
- Certifications (or willingness to obtain): OSHA 30, USACE CQM, EM 385‑1‑1, CPR/First Aid
- Preferred:
Procore experience, federal/USACE project background

Superintendents can grow into senior leadership roles such as Project Manager or Director of Construction, gaining increased responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, and strategic oversight across federal and commercial projects.
Requirements EligibilityFor active military members within final 180 days of service and approved for Skill Bridge.
