Reporting directly to the Profit Center General Manager, you will spearhead product improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and develop new products. This position will sit onsite full-time in Berlin, CT.
** What you will be doing*
* ** What we are looking for
*** Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 year’s experience preferred.  Will consider recent graduates with solid intern experience.
* BS in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing or equivalent
* Lean manufacturing practices ( Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)
* Experience with Assembly Operations, Metal Machining processes and tool design
* Ability to think progressively and creatively while keeping the future of the company and its employees in mind
* Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities
* Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Strong Communication skills (written and public speaking)

* Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes
* Develop quality plans for products

* Plan, commission and maintain machine and assembly production lines
* Lead quality improvement efforts through training, communication and implementation of new processes
* Manage equipment purchase and installation
* Prepare manufacturing documentation
* Coordinate projects
* Work closely with internal and external customers, as well as vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
* Key member of Product Design Team, working with Design Engineers to develop and introduce new products
* Establish and maintain cellular layouts
