Somewhere Over the Spectrum is a holistic Autism Center located in Berlin, CT with a unique and individualized approach to Autism Services. We are looking to add full-time and per diem BCBA’s to our team that are just as unique and holistic as our approach, and we take time to build a relationship to ensure alignment of intentions and approach.
We offer a variety of programs, including center-based services for early childhood, and intensive in-home and in-community programs.
Program Highlights- Center-Based Early Childhood Autism Program for children ages 16 months to 6 years, in a naturalistic environment with circle time, exploratory centers, and daily activities supported by ABA Therapists.
- Enclosed outdoor area with sensory materials and an indoor movement area to support sensory and developmental needs.
- Intensive In-Home and In-Community Program providing support in home and community settings (e.g., preschools, daycare centers, private schools, homeschool groups).
BCBAs will work across programs to promote a wide range of skills and involvement with clients and families. We embrace the fundamental and clinical principles of ABA with naturalistic and child-led learning methods.
We are seeking per diem and full-time BCBAs to join our team.
Responsibilities- Engage in and support both center-based and in-home programs to promote client skill development.
- Guide client programs considering information shared by parents, child’s therapists, SOS Occupational Therapists, and the SOS Team.
- Provide guiding and consistent feedback to therapists and build trusting, open communication with families and team members.
- Collaborate with families to empower and educate them, and to support therapists and staff around the client’s goals.
- Respect and uphold the holistic and naturalistic approach of Somewhere Over the Spectrum.
- Thinks creatively and outside the box in ideas and programming.
- Is relentless and passionate in supporting children and families on their caseload.
- Is a great communicator who empowers and educates families, guides and supports therapists, and fosters collaboration.
- Can guide a client’s program using information from parents, therapists, and SOS team.
- Empathizes with parents and guardians regarding their journey and challenges or triumphs.
- Respects and embodies the holistic and naturalistic approach of Somewhere Over the Spectrum.
Somewhere Over the Spectrum, located in Berlin, CT, is a holistic center that provides intensive therapeutic programming services to children with autism. The center uses a variety of methodologies to create comprehensive programming for each child. Our clinical staff supports each child's programming within a dynamic, holistic approach.
