Overview

Associates in Freight/Receiving positions ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required and excellent customer service skills are required. The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate, and Receiving Support.

• Load and unload trucks and move materials from receiving to appropriate locations in the store.
• Maintain accurate on-hands and pricing information for products.
• Operate forklifts or other equipment as required, following safety guidelines.
• Provide direct customer service and support as needed.

• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift/move heavy items as required.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of operating forklifts if applicable (training provided as needed).
