Electro - Mechanical Technician Position Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical principles to ensure optimal operation, safety, and efficiency of machinery and production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair:
    Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, sensors, pumps, control panels, and automation systems.
  • Installation:
    Install new machinery, wiring, control systems, and mechanical components according to technical drawings, schematics, and safety standards.
  • Testing & Calibration:
    Test and calibrate components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
    Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting:
    Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Follow electrical codes, mechanical safety procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance reports.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with engineers, machine operators, and production teams to support continuous improvement and system reliability.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience:

    2-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, sensors, drives, and control systems; proficiency with mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics; ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics; familiarity with diagnostic and testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, vibration analyzers, etc.).

    Skills:

    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team; good communication and documentation skills; commitment to safety and quality standards.
