Environmental Services Technician-Housekeeper (Full Time)

Under general direction, cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Reports to the Manager of Environmental Services. The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining the hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with standards established by Administration in conjunction with the Infection Control and Safety Committees.

• High school education or equivalent is not required, but one must be able to read, understand written documents and write.
• Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
• After training, be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three-day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. Attendance on all three days is required for onboarding completion.
