Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The RN reports to their Nurse Manager and ultimately to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Essential Requirements- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, with a current New Hampshire license.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification; PALS preferred.
- Minimum one‑year work experience as an RN in a medical‑surgical department.
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) is a 25‑bed critical access hospital serving Coos and portions of Carroll County, NH. Its specialties include Audiology, Urology, ENT/Allergy, OB/GYN, Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, and General Surgery. Orientation& Travel Reimbursement
All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three‑day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. Attendance on all three days is required for onboarding completion. If Weeks Medical Center is not your designated home base, you will be eligible for travel reimbursement in accordance with our standard travel policy.
