Responsibilities

Develop and optimize mechanical components of the traction inverter (housing, cooling plates, sealing, mounting) ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency

Design and optimize HV busbars, insulation, thermal interfaces, and plastic parts, ensuring electrical safety, EMC compliance, and mechanical durability

Work on the mechanical integration of the traction inverter within the EDU system, ensuring proper packaging and interface compatibility

Ensure compliance with automotive HV, thermal, EMC, environmental, and regulatory standards within mechanical designs

Continuous collaboration and coordination with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, validation, manufacturing)

Support testing and validation activities, analyze results, and implement design improvements to meet performance targets

Coordinate with suppliers on technical alignment, component development, and specification clarification

Prepare and maintain engineering documentation

Ensure timely completion of development milestones and maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and functional safety

Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost/performance optimization in electric powertrain systems, following internal processes and change management procedures

Requirements

Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Systems Engineering

Technical knowledge and/or experience in design of electric Powertrains, technology, production and testing

Minimum 3 years of work experience in Mechanical design. Experience in electric powertrain development is highly desirable

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA…) for designing and modeling components

Knowledge of materials science and properties relevant to traction inverter components

Understanding of traction inverter layout and integration, connection interfaces, EMI mitigation measures

Understanding of cooling systems specific to automotive powertrains

Proven track record of successful project completion from concept through production

Excellent knowledge of English

Experience with MS Office tools

Good planning, organization and communication skills

The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and quality
