A battery’s structure isn’t only its outer shell — it’s a complete system of interfaces, from fasteners and gaskets to adhesives, coatings, and other essential components.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of battery structure systems and sub‑systems in line with project timelines.
  • Define and support verification, virtual verification (simulation), validation, and integration strategies, including testing from prototype through homologation for the complete structure system.
  • Contribute to the development of the technical and functional safety concepts.
  • Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and risk analyses.
  • Evaluate simulation reports and recommend corrective actions or design improvements to the development team.
  • Review technical drawings and production documentation to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Perform root‑cause analyses to resolve structural or integration issues.
  • Support assembly and testing teams throughout verification, validation, and build phases.
  • Ensure the structure system complies with relevant standards and industry best practices.
  • Drive product safety through analytical and risk‑assessed approaches
  • Collaborate with other system owners to develop and implement solutions that optimize overall system performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Physics or Systems Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive systems or industrial experience in a complex multidisciplinary product environment
  • Experience with HV battery systems and knowledge of lithium-based battery cell system design
  • Understanding of Systems / Requirements Engineering and related tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, JAMA)
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and knowledge of the project life cycle from R&D to series production
  • Experience in product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of safe working practices for HV systems, applicable legislation, and homologation standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken)

  • Extensive experience in systems engineering, research, and development
  • Ability to challenge experts, consultants, and senior stakeholders using a systematic, first‑principles approach
  • Proven experience in structure systems or components
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry
