About the role

We are looking for a Utilities Engineer to support the design
, operation
, optimization
, and reliability of Clean and Black Utilities systems within pharmaceutical / biotech manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliable operation and performance of Clean & Black Utilities systems (PW, WFI, clean steam, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, heating/cooling, gases, etc.).
  • Support commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up activities.
  • Manage maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure GMP compliance.
  • Lead investigations, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support CAPEX projects and utility system upgrades.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained according to GMP and internal standards.
Profile
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Process, Industrial, Utilities, or related field).
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, life sciences, or other GMP-regulated environments.
  • Solid knowledge of Clean Utilities and Black Utilities systems.
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements, qualification/validation activities, and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Fluent in German and in English.
