At Bavarian Nordic, we are committed to saving and improving lives by unlocking the power of the immune system. Our commercial product portfolio includes market‑leading vaccines against smallpox, mpox, rabies, tick‑borne encephalitis, typhoid fever, and cholera. We excel in R&D innovation, manufacturing, and commercialization, striving to improve people's health and quality of life worldwide, protecting our tomorrow.

Bavarian Nordic is progressing through a multiyear digital and data maturity journey spanning ERP foundation, data governance, and advanced digital capabilities across Global Operations and beyond. To ensure analytics scales in a sustainable, compliant, and value‑driven way, the organization is evolving from a traditional BI delivery setup toward analytics as digital products.

The role

As Business Analytics Product Lead, you will lead a small team and at the same time you will drive the shift to a product‑oriented analytics model, ensuring solutions are clearly owned, aligned to enterprise platforms, governed end‑to‑end, and linked to business outcomes. You will cover BI, advanced analytics, and decision intelligence, enabling fast AI pilots while maintaining GxP standards. In close collaboration with business, IT, and external partners, you will lead analytics products from ideas through deployment and continuous improvement.

The position reports to the Head of Digital Transformation, Supply Chain, and can be based in Denmark or Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analytics product model:
Establish and run a product‑oriented analytics setup (POD), with clear ownership, lifecycle management, roadmaps, and success metrics
  • Drive business‑aligned analytics:
Ensure all initiatives are linked to business decisions, KPIs, and measurable outcomes
  • Ensure ERP and data integration:
Align analytics with ERP and data foundations, partnering on governance, data quality, and standardized datasets
  • Enable advanced analytics and AI:
Identify, prioritize, and guide AI/analytics POCs and MVPs, ensuring business impact and fit with a regulated environment
  • Strengthen operational excellence:
Build a scalable support model with IT, standardize solutions, and reduce duplication through reuse and lifecycle management
  • Lead stakeholders and capabilities:
Partner with business leaders to drive adoption, prioritize demand, and develop internal and external analytics capabilities
What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record with solid experience (+8 years) in business intelligence, analytics, or data‑related roles with increasing responsibility and you hold solid experience leading analytics beyond report delivery with end‑to‑end ownership. On top of this, you have worked in ERP‑enabled analytics environments (D365 or SAP) and enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives. You have experience working in regulated environments (GxP and/or SOX).

Strong collaboration experience across business, IT, and data engineering is also important.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business analytics, data & analytics, engineering, computer science, economics, supply chain, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in analytics, data management, product management, or cloud/data platforms are an advantage
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to connect strategic vision to operational execution
  • Full proficiency in English – written and spoken is mandatory, knowledge of Danish and/or German is a plus
Why this role

This is a key role in our digital and data transformation, driving the shift from traditional BI to analytics as products. You will help ensure analytics scales in a structured, compliant, and outcome‑focused way—closely integrated with ERP, data foundations, and business processes. By connecting data to decisions, you will enable faster insights, stronger business outcomes, and unlock the value of advanced analytics and AI across the organization.

If you are passionate about driving real change, influencing enterprise‑wide decisions, and future‑proofing digital capabilities, this role offers both impact and visibility.
