Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

vacancy for our Bern-based client in the Consulting & Business Services sector

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions
• Manage and optimize core Azure services including networking, compute, storage, identity, and security
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using industry-standard tools
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments
• Implement monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, performance, and availability
• Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous service improvement
• Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making
• Mentor junior engineers and promote infrastructure and Dev Ops best practices

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field from a university or university of applied sciences, or equivalent professional experience
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Azure networking, identity, storage, computing, and security services
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Power Shell and/or Bash
• Proven experience managing hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure
• Advanced Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies
• Solid Linux administration experience
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Git and modern Dev Ops practices
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Good understanding of networking, security, governance, and operational best practices
• Swiss German and English skills at a fluent level;
  French is an asset
• Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑700 or Dev Ops Engineer Expert
• Experience in enterprise migration and modernization projects
