IT Infrastructure Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop an IT infrastructure team (people management, coaching, performance reviews)
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure environment
• Oversee systems including servers, networks, storage, and security components
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure-related projects (e.g., upgrades, migrations, optimisation)
• Manage external vendors and service providers
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, IT security policies, and compliance requirements
• Define and implement IT standards, processes, and best practices (e.g., ITIL)
• Control budgets, resources, and capacity planning
• Act as a key interface between IT, business stakeholders, and senior management

• Proven experience as a Team Leader / Manager in an IT Infrastructure environment
• Strong background in IT infrastructure (networks, servers, data centres, security)
• Solid experience in IT operations and service management
• Hands-on leadership and people management experience
• Strong understanding of IT service delivery and SLAs
• Fluency in German and English (both mandatory)

• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or hybrid infrastructures)
• ITIL certification or strong ITSM knowledge
• Experience in retail, wholesale, or logistics environments
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Experience in transformation or modernisation programmes
