Test Manager

• Strategically plan, manage, and take responsibility for testing activities in complex, business-critical IT projects, including preparing business cases for testing initiatives
• Develop test strategies, test concepts, and test plans
• Continuously enhance the testing process beyond individual projects
• Provide functional leadership, coaching, and capability development for local, nearshore, and offshore testing teams
• Collaborate with Development, Business Analysis, Product Management, Customer Management, and other stakeholders up to executive level
• Monitor schedules, dependencies, risks, and testing progress, and prepare transparent test reports
• Take responsibility for defect management
• Advise clients on optimizing their testing processes and tools
• Build and further develop an AI-assisted testing toolchain using AI and agent systems, including generative test case creation, autonomous test execution, and self-healing automation

• University degree (ETH, university, university of applied sciences, or higher technical college) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or comparable training
• At least 3–5 years of experience in software testing, including several years in a leadership role as a Test Manager or Test Lead
• Proven leadership experience managing local, nearshore, or offshore teams, including capability development and mentoring
• Strong knowledge of test design, test management, defect management, and quality assurance
• Experience preparing business cases and improving testing processes across an organization
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or Azure Dev Ops
• Understanding of agile software development, CI/CD, and test automation
• Knowledge of AI and agent systems, along with experience or a strong interest in building an AI-assisted testing toolchain
• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification
• Very good German and English language skills

Demonstrates expertise in test management, defect management, and quality assurance while leading local, nearshore, and offshore testing teams. Proficient in developing test strategies and enhancing testing processes, with a strong focus on AI-assisted testing tool chains.
