Job Description
We are inviting early‑career students to join our Quality Assurance team at Mondelēz International. This internship offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic food manufacturing environment producing Toblerone chocolate bars.
Responsibilities- Support and independently perform sampling, analytical, microbiological, and sensory testing of products and the production environment, in line with inspection plans, specifications, legal requirements, and customer expectations.
- Support the evaluation and interpretation of test and analysis results and contribute to decisions related to product release, blocking, and corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Support the release of raw materials, semi‑finished products, and finished products, ensuring that quality and food safety requirements are met.
- Review and support the management of certificates of analysis for raw materials and packaging materials.
- Perform hygiene and environmental controls according to established inspection plans, including checks following cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Support the preparation and execution of sensory testing activities.
- Maintain retention sample storage and ensure relevant documentation is kept up to date.
- Create and update laboratory‑related documents, procedures, and instructions.
- Ensure laboratory activities are performed in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), internal company standards, legal requirements, and official testing methods.
- Support the maintenance, calibration, and compliance of laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Assist with ordering laboratory consumables and maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organized laboratory environment.
- Work in a safety‑ and environmentally‑conscious manner, following applicable regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.
- A dedicated mentor who will guide and support you throughout the internship.
- Collaboration with multiple departments including Quality, Production, Engineering, and cross‑functional teams.

- Participation in internal working groups focused on problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and new developments in production.

- Final‑year student status or recent graduation in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Interest in Quality Assurance, food safety, laboratory testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Structured and analytical mindset with good attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in English at a working level.
- German language skills are beneficial.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Responsible approach to following quality, safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements.
