For our International / Consulting / Industrial Services team, Techfirm Engineering is looking for a Sampling Assistant with a background as a Laboratory Technician and experience in a GMP-regulated environment.

Your Mission

As a Sampling Assistant, you will be responsible for the collection, management and coordination of samples within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will work closely with Manufacturing and Quality Control teams to ensure that samples are collected, documented and transferred in accordance with GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform environmental and utility sampling in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Collect samples from water systems for TOC, Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.

Perform viable air and particulate sampling using equipment such as Surface Air Samplers and particle counters (e.g. Climet).Ensure the correct identification, handling, storage and distribution of samples from Manufacturing to the QC Laboratory.

Schedule and manage sampling activities using LIMS systems, such as Lab Ware LIMS.Use manufacturing systems such as DeltaV for remote control of vessels when required for sampling activities.

Ensure accurate and compliant GxP/GMP documentation and maintain relevant procedures, SOPs and work instructions.

Support the management and investigation of deviations and other quality-related events using systems such as Track Wise.

Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and other relevant departments.

Ensure that all sampling activities are performed in accordance with GMP, EHS and data integrity requirements.

Contribute to continuous improvement of sampling processes and procedures.

Support the training of colleagues and team members in sampling-related activities when required.

Your Profile

Degree or professional qualification as a Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Technologist or equivalent scientific/technical education.

Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or chemical manufacturing environment.

Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is highly desirable.

Practical experience with environmental monitoring and/or sampling activities.

Knowledge of sampling techniques for water systems, viable air and particulates is an advantage.

Experience with LIMS, ideally Lab Ware LIMS.Familiarity with GMP/GxP documentation, SOPs, deviations and CAPA.Knowledge of Track Wise, DeltaV or similar systems is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling samples and documentation.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently while being part of a multidisciplinary team.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
