What you can expect
- Genetic association studies in patients and healthy volunteers
- Measurement of drugs and other metabolites in vitro and in vivo
- Functional characterization of candidate genetic variants using cell models and enzyme assays
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related field, M.D., Pharm.
D., or an equivalent degree - Solid understanding of genetics and/or genomics
- Ideally, experience in genetic association studies and wet-lab molecular biology
- Experience in pharmacology and/or bioinformatics tools and data analysis would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to handle complex projects
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in research productivity
- Willingness to share research findings through publications, presentations, and other knowledge-transfer activities
- Motivation to participate in the supervision of Ph.D. and M.Sc. students
- Stimulating research environment within a multidisciplinary institute active in both research and clinical diagnostics
- Unique opportunity to work in the growing field of precision medicine at the interface of research and diagnostic applications
- Close collaboration with research groups in precision medicine and genomics
- Opportunities for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration in areas such as liquid biopsies and metabolomics
- Initial three-year appointment at junior postdoctoral level
- Possibility of extension and promotion to senior postdoctoral level following successful evaluation
- Opportunity to lead independent research projects upon promotion
