Full-Stack Developer (PHP / Ruby on Rails)

We are looking for a motivated and talented Full-Stack Developer to join our team immediately or by arrangement. You will work on diverse national and international community projects, contributing across the entire technology stack—from concept to go-live and beyond.

At Glowing Blue, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and clients to build, operate, and continuously improve scalable, user-friendly community solutions.

Your role

You will holistically support and further develop the technology stack of our customers’ communities. Together with the team and our clients, you will accompany the full lifecycle of our products—from development and launch to ongoing operation and optimization.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend solutions using PHP (Laravel) and Ruby on Rails
• Plan, conceptualize, and document features within agile development teams (Scrum)
• Analyze errors, debug, test, and ensure quality across development stages and live systems
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability, even under high load
• Develop and integrate APIs, admin interfaces, and third-party services
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, architecture, and services

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field – or equivalent training/apprenticeship
• Existing working permit for Switzerland
• Strong experience in PHP, ideally with Laravel
• Experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments
• A plus:
  
  Experience with Ember
  
  JS and MithrilJS
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and frontend best practices
• Experience or strong interest in performance, IT security, and scalability
• Interest in conceptual work and technical project ownership
• Enjoy working in agile teams and building intuitive, user-centric software
