Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Java Developer

As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop scalable backend solutions for large-scale data processing environments. You will own the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Design and develop scalable backend solutions for large-scale data processing environments
• Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle – from requirements analysis and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Build clean, efficient, and maintainable code using object-oriented programming (primarily Java)
• Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (e.g. Swiss Federal Diploma in IT)
• 2–6 years of professional experience in backend development, ideally with Java
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Hands‑on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit
• Solid knowledge of database systems;
  Mongo
  
  DB experience is a plus
• Familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, or Flink is an advantage
• Experience with Big Data or high-volume data processing is beneficial
• Structured and proactive working style with a strong sense of ownership
• Good command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
• Valid Swiss work permit (CH/EU/EFTA, B or
  
  C)
