Software development engineer in testing; m​/w​/d

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Development and operation of a test automation framework for API, integration, performance and end-to-end testing.
• Integration of automated quality checks into CI/CD pipelines and support for their continuous development.
• Development of tools, scripts and technical aids that support our teams in their daily testing work.
• Ensuring sustainable automation of cross-system integration and interface tests.
• Critical questioning of technical solutions with technical expertise in architecture, integration and platform topics.
• Enabling Agile testers to use test automation, tools, and technical quality practices.
• Your expertise in test automation flows directly into the development process – in collaboration with the software developers.

• Several years of experience as a software developer or software development engineer in testing (SDET).
• Solid knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Kotlin, Java, Type Script) as well as test automation frameworks (ideally Playwright, Gatling).
• Experience with API testing, performance and load testing, integration testing, and testing of distributed system landscapes.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab), build processes and modern development platforms.
• Understanding of software architecture, interfaces, and technical quality characteristics such as maintainability, stability, and testability.
• Enjoyment in pragmatically solving technical challenges and supporting other teams with your knowledge.
